

Joseph J. Schilling Joseph J. Schilling of Levittown died on Monday, July 7, 2014 at his home. He was 81. Born in Ashland, PA, Mr. Schilling has been a resident of Falls Township and a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Parish for the past 49 years. He worked at U.S. Steel's Fairless Works for many years until it's closing and then worked for Delaval Turbine in Trenton until retiring. Mr. Schilling was an Army veteran of Korea. A member of the Falls Township Rifle and Pistol Association, he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed reading and was a skilled woodworker and craftsman. Mr. Schilling was the beloved husband of the late Barbara A. Schilling. He was the loving father of Frank Schilling, Claire Gain (David) and Diane Schilling (Joe Sherry) all of Levittown and was the adored Poppy of Mackenzie. He will also be sadly missed by his brother Leo of Sellersville; sisters Catherine Long of Arizona, Mary Donahue (William) of Levittown, Helen Whalen (Harry) of Ashland and Elizabeth Paulukow (Richard) of Lancaster; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Frances Wagner and her husband, William. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. and Monday from 9 until 10 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
