Josephine P. Griffin of Bensalem died on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Temple University Hospital. She was 64. Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Griffin has been a resident of Bensalem for the past 35 years and was a member of St. Ephrem parish. She is and forever will be the rock of her family, her priority in life was taking care of her family. Mrs. Griffin was the beloved wife of Thomas J. Griffin for 43 years. She was the loving mother of Matthew T. Griffin, Jessica P. Schmidt (Stephen), and Daniel P. Griffin and was the devoted grandmother of Briannalyn and Samantha. She will also be sadly missed by her sister Mary Lopez (Frank) and their son Joseph Lopez (Mara); and sisters-in-law Maureen Everingham, Patricia Jachetti (Gary) and Anne Blum (James). Family and friends are invited to call from 8:30 until 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown followed by her funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ephrem Church. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
