Judith (Poole) Meister passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on January 16, 2026, in Estero, Florida. After a courageous six-year battle with stage 4 lung cancer, Judith’s strength and determination never wavered. Her guiding purpose during these years was simple and powerful: to be present—for weddings, new grandchildren, and every precious memory she could create with those she loved.
Judith was born in Trenton, New Jersey, and raised in Lambertville, New Jersey, alongside her brother, Thomas Henry Poole. From an early age, her bright spirit and joyful personality shone through. She was a cheerleader at South Hunterdon High School, where her warmth and energy were already well known. She later began her career with Bell Atlantic Telephone Company, marking the start of a life defined by dedication, connection, and care for others.
In 1973, Judith married her sweetheart, Julius Stephen Meister, beginning a loving partnership that spanned a lifetime. Together, they made their home in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, where their three children were born—Kristopher (Kelly), Jonathan (Jennifer), and Jessica (Joseph). They later moved to Furlong PA, where she was the host to many parties and holidays for years to come. Her children were the center of her world, and she poured her heart into being a devoted wife and mother.
Judith was the cherished daughter of Thomas Edison Poole and Jeanne Theresa (Ferry) Poole, who instilled in her the deep values of family, loyalty, and love that guided her throughout her life. She was a devoted sister to Thomas Henry Poole (Beverly) and treasured summers spent at the Jersey Shore—times filled with laughter, relaxation, and togetherness.
Later in life, Judith worked alongside her husband as an office coordinator at Somerton Industrial Medical Center, a role she approached with pride, organization, and compassion.
However, no role brought her greater joy than being “Mom-Mom” to her beloved grandchildren. Judith adored her grandchildren—Ava, Jordan, Caci, Cody, Luca, and Leo. Whether playing, laughing, or staying connected through countless FaceTime calls, her bond with them was filled with pure joy, unconditional love, and endless smiles.
Judith truly knew how to enjoy life. She loved shopping, sharing a cocktail, traveling, and—above all—creating unforgettable memories with her family. She was a “fun time” in every sense: full of laughter, warmth, and a sparkle that brightened every gathering.
Though her family’s hearts are broken, they remain forever grateful for the love she gave, the memories she created, and the strength and grit she instilled in everyone she met. Judith’s legacy lives on through her family, her many friends, and the love she shared so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judith’s honor to the Florida Cancer Specialists (FCS) Foundation, whose compassionate care and exceptional doctors supported her throughout the past six years.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Judith’s amazing life on February 16th, 10:00 AM at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056. Guests are encouraged to wear coral—Judith’s favorite color—to honor her bright and cheerful spirit.
