Born in Dunkirk, NY, she was a long-time area resident. She was the owner of The Mess Hall, a restaurant which displayed her love for the military. Kelly was an extremely proud patriot and a devout Christian; she was a member of the Light of Christ Church. She belonged to the Warrior Watch Riders, was an Auxiliary member of the VFW in Croydon (Joseph A. Schumacher Post). Kelly also found time to be an avid Professional Bingo Player.
Kelly loved all of God’s creatures. She had a deep affection for Cardinals and Owls. Kelly participated in animal rescue and served as a foster parent for service dogs. She took care of Gracie and Athena. She also gave care to Tank, a prior active-duty Army service dog who served in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Predeceased by her father, Albert F. Myers; Kelly is survived by her devoted husband of 6 years, George Schgier; her children, Brandy Lubinski (Joe), Ciara Dawicki (Joe), and James Borelli; her grandchildren, Morgan (Steve), Jerry (Zabrina), Joey, Anthony, Dominick, Nevaeh, Nathan, Sadie Grace; her great grandchildren, Brayden, Teagan, Elijah, Waylon, her mother, Janice Krawczyk; her sisters, Freda (Paul), and Michelle; her brother, Albert (Sherri); many nieces and nephews; and her best friend and caregiver, Charles Charland. She will be sadly missed by her grandpuppy, Alejandro.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 10:00 am until 12 noon, followed by a funeral service, at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA.
