Kerrie McKenzie Remolde, age 51, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Born on October 11, 1972, in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, Kerrie spent her childhood years in Southampton, PA, near the Youth Center, where she created countless memories of joy and camaraderie with her siblings and friends. She attended grade school at Our Lady of Good Counsel and pursued her high school education at William Tennent. After attending school at Bucks County Community College, Kerrie spent most of her career as a Customer Service Representative. She also loved to dance, and changed the lives of many as a dance teacher during her years.
Kerrie’s greatest joy in life was being a mother and her children were the center of her universe. She was an avid dancer, athlete, and competitor which led to her becoming a passionate Philadelphia sports fan, especially for her “Phightin Phils.”
Kerrie possessed a remarkable talent for remembering birthdays. She was a creative spirit, finding joy in arts and crafts, jewelry-making, and cooking. She also loved to sing. Her voice was famous in the karaoke scene around her hometown of Levittown, and more notably at home. She learned to play the ukulele proficiently and was a very talented self-taught artist. Her infectious smile and vibrant personality endeared her to all who knew her, leaving an enduring mark on the hearts of those she encountered.
She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Alphonce "AJ" Remolde, her beautiful daughters: Bridget Remolde and Marion Remolde, her son: Alphonce Remolde Jr. a.k.a. Buddy, her mother: Michele McKenzie, her father: Joe McKenzie (Desiree), her sister: Ally McKenzie, and her 3 brothers: Joey McKenzie, Mickey McKenzie(Kathleen) and Sean Cosenza, and all of her beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to share in Kerrie’s celebration of life on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 10 AM until 12 PM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Avenue, Southampton, PA 18966. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kerrie’s name may be made to Special Olympics (https://www.specialolympics.org/) in her honor.
Kerrie's legacy of love, kindness, and joy will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in peace, knowing that she was extremely loved and will be dearly missed.
