

Kristen A. SklarowKristen A. "Krissy" Sklarow of Bensalem passed away after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at St. Mary Medical Center. She was 57.Born and raised in Drexel Hill, Krissy attended St. Dorothy Elementary School and was a 1978 graduate of Cardinal O'Hara High School. She has resided in Bensalem for the past 30 years.Krissy was a loving wife to Jay and devoted mother to her two children, Kerryn and Stephen. She was always there to support them in their education and extra curricular activities throughout all facets of their lives. She was as proud as can be at watching her children graduate from college and become responsible adults. Krissy was a homemaker, but earlier in her career she worked in the accounting department at MAB Paints at their main office in Broomall. Krissy was outstanding with numbers, and very meticulous as her accounting friends can attest.Some of her greatest memories were spending time at the family beach home in Brigantine. She also enjoyed skiing and dancing and most of all laughing. Her food was delicious and she loved the holidays and family vacations.Even throughout her illness, Krissy was a fun loving person who had a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party. She truly cherished time with her friends.Krissy is the beloved wife of 29 years to Jay Sklarow and the loving mother of Kerryn L. Sklarow (fiancé, Kyle Sibley) and Stephen E. Sklarow.She is also survived by her sister, Kathleen Nugent (Bernie); brother Bill Berry (Mary); numerous nieces and nephews; her aunt, Pat Heward and her cousin, Jeffrey Heward.She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Frances Berry, and her Nana, Dorothy Celani.Family and friends are invited to call from 6 until 8 p.m on Monday and 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Krissy's name may be made to the American Heart Association, 1617 JFK Blvd, Suite 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103 or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - Delaware Valley Chapter, 2004 Sproul Road, Suite 208, Broomall, PA 19008.
