

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly Dixon; his children, Kimberly Branham and Stacey Steen; his grandchildren, Kevin, Emma, Abigail, and Joshua; his sister Patricia Lynas; his sisters-in-law, Sharen Licari and Carol Gischlar, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother Mary Zieralski; and his brother James Weaver.
Larry was born in Newark, NJ on July 7, 1946 to Mary Garrity and John Dixon. He was an expert sniper and marksman in the United States Army stationed at Camp Drum, NY and Fort Dix, NJ from July 30, 1963 to February 14, 1967. After Lawrence spent 6 honorable years in the US Army he began working as a skilled crane operator at US Steel. His love of driving continued as a part time Limousine driver until his passing.
Larry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s school and sporting events to cheer them on. He also enjoyed spending quality time with his wife at the Jersey Shore putting his feet in the sand. But what he enjoyed most in life was playing Santa Claus to his loving wife and grandchildren which filled his heart with pride throughout the year. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on October 1, 2021 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown, PA 19056 where friends will be received from 10 am until the time of the service. A Military burial will be announced at a later date.Donations, flowers, and condolences may be offered at the Dougherty Funeral Home at the above address.
