Lee was born in Mainville, PA, to parents, Stephen Chyko and Cecelia Chyko (nee Kowalski). She graduated from Black Creek Township High School and went on to work in various roles for Bloomsburg State Teachers College, The Pentagon, and Columbia Broadcast System (NY). After marrying her husband Max Martini on May 2, 1964, Lee settled down to care for the home and to raise their four children. Lee eventually returned to the work force primarily in the management office of the Levittown Shopping Center until her retirement.
In her free time, Lee loved cooking and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was a lifelong avid reader, and enjoyed curating memories into scrapbooks.
Lee was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Max Martini, her grandson Nicholas Martini, her parents, and her brother, Stephen Chyko.
Lee is survived by her children Mark Martini, Jenifer Mihalik (Michael), John Martini (Dawn), and Elizabeth “Liza” Martini; her grandchildren: Francis, Jessica, Max, Devon, Riley, Cassidy, Ethan, Caitlyn, Evan, and Avery; her four great-grandchildren; and her sisters Viola Supon, Elaine Cusat (Anthony), and Theresa Kosmach (Joseph).
A memorial gathering for Lee will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056, followed by an inurnment at 2:00 PM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, Pennsylvania 18940.
