Leonard J. Dillon

Leonard J. Dillon, beloved husband and father, died in his sleep on June 2, 2010. Len, son of the late Thomas and Laura, was born in Philadelphia and grew up in St. Louis Parish in Yeadon. He graduated from Monsignor Bonner H.S. in 1964, and Drexel University in 1969. He was the Chief Financial Officer of Plymouth Printing located in Cranford, N.J. Len was always there for his family and friends with an easy smile and a quick wit. He loved dancing, gardening, riding his bike, cheering on Philly sports teams and anything Irish. Len will be greatly missed by his wife Diane (Marte) Dillon of 40 years, his three children, Rourke (Vicki) of West Chester, PA, Tara of Hoboken, NJ and Tiffany Davis (Mike) of Fallsington, PA. He was a doting Pop-Pop to his six grandchildren, Brianna, Emma, Rourke, Neve, Will and Marley, caring brother to Margaret Dillon and special uncle to many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 4:00 until 7:00 pm and again on Monday, from 8:30 until 9:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, 10:00 am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown. Rite of Committal will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to St. Christopher's Foundation for Children at 1800 JFK Boulevard, Suite 401, Philadelphia, PA 19103 in honor of Len's grandson William Charles Davis.
