Linda was born on September 12th, 1951 to Harry and Ruth McCafferty in Staten Island, New York. After Linda graduated Tottenville High School in 1969, she started her first job at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City, beginning her career helping others in administration. She moved on to Richmond Memorial Hospital before taking a break and settling down. She married David Grannis and raised (as well as lovingly fed) their two children, Harry and Dan. In 1987 they moved to Fallsington, Pennsylvania where she picked up her career in the Pennsbury School District. There Linda would make friends with all who crossed her path and eventually retire, working in Human Resources as a Benefits Specialist.
In 1998, Linda would marry her soulmate, Frank Jones, bringing in an additional family to love and be loved by. They would happily live in Roanoke, Virginia throughout the years 2007-2013 before her strong desire to be closer to family led them back to Pennsylvania, where she lived the remainder of her life in Levittown.
Linda loved to laugh, listen to instrumental music, watch the Phillies and read sentimental (mushy) cards with a tear in her eye (she would say ‘wah’). Throughout her life, Linda’s care and love were boundless. You would see this in her smile, demeanor and actions. If you were hungry, she would want to make you a ham sammich. If you were sad, a hug was offered. If you were happy, a hug was also offered. There was always a hug. You would be hard pressed to have known someone more kind or selfless.
Linda was predeceased by her parents Harry McCafferty and Ruth Van Duzer, parents-in-law C. Edward Jones and Frances Martin, brother-in-law Robert Jones, and son-in-law Peter Robbins. She is survived by her husband of 25 years Frank, her children Harry (Kara) Grannis, Daniel (fiancé Ashley) Grannis, Jennifer Robbins, and Brian (girlfriend Melissa) Jones, her sisters Maureen (Don) Smith, and Irene (Cliff) Raymond, as well as siblings-in-law Pete Jones, Rich Jones, Kathy Austin, Teresa Jones, Pat (Norm) Mazer, Kevin (Pat) Jones, and Paul Jones. She will continue to be remembered and loved by her grandchildren Emma, Ava, Claire, Riley, and Logan as well as countless nieces and nephews.
