Lisa Messinger

November 2, 1960 – August 12, 2026
Obituary of Lisa Messinger
IN THE CARE OF

James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc.

Lisa Stair Messinger, 65, of Oakford, PA, took the stairway to heaven on August 12, 2026. Born and raised in Feasterville, she was a 1978 graduate of Neshaminy High School. Lisa had a kind heart and an easy laugh, bringing warmth and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She was married to her devoted husband, Bob, for 38 wonderful years, and together they shared a life filled with love, loyalty and countless cherished memories. Lisa was also the proud dog mom to her rescue pup, Tucker, her constant companion.

A lifelong animal lover, Lisa cared for many pets throughout her life — dogs, a cat, a bunny and even a bird — each one a reflection of her compassion and gentle spirit. Her love for animals was one of her defining traits, and she carried it with her in every stage of life.

Lisa found her greatest peace at the shore, especially at Osborne Island, where she loved spending time with friends, boating around under the warm sun and enjoying the ocean breeze. She was a loyal Phillies fan, a lover of rock concerts and someone who appreciated a good Bacardi and Coke.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Phil and Dolores, and her mother in law, Nancy, all of whom she held close in her heart.

Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Bob; her sister, Cindy (Wayne); her sister-in law, Bonnie (Joe); her father-in-law, Bob; her nieces, Amy (Eddie) and Shelly; her nephew, Ryan (Jenna); her great-nephews, Brendan, Regan and Rowen; and her great-nieces, Riley and Scarlet.

Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 11:30 am, at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, with words of remembrance beginning at 1:30pm.

Interment for Lisa will take place Monday August 24, 2026 at Union Cemetery in Weatherly, PA where Lisa will be laid to rest with her parents.

In honor of Lisa’s lifelong devotion to animals, please consider a memorial contribution in her name to the Women’s Animal Center, 3839 Richlieu Road, Bensalem, PA.
