Loretta MacalintalLoretta Macalintal passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Legacy Gardens in Bristol at the age of 105.Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Loretta was the youngest of 12. She went to high school in South Philly and worked as a sales clerk and later as a hostess for Four Brothers Restaurant in Cape May, NJ, until her retirement at the age of 64.Tootsie has been a resident of Legacy Gardens for 7 years, where she enjoyed dancing, exercising and kickball. She was known for her contagious smilie while taking her daily walks through the halls. Loretta will be deeply missed by the many residents and caring staff who loved her.She loved the Phillies and was lucky enough to spend her 105th birthday with the Phanatic.Beloved wife of the late Jose "Joe", Loretta is the loving mother of Gerry DeNucci and her husband, Charles.She is the devoted grandmother of Dolly Baird (Joe), Charlie DeNucci (Karen), Bob DeNucci (Sharon), Gerry West (Bill), Clint DeNucci (Marilyn), Antoinette DeNucci (Tony), Karen Fallon (Mike), Frank DeNucci (Donna), Andrew DeNucci (Sue) and Julia Huber (Mark).Tootsie is blessed with 21 great grandchildren: Danielle, Raymond, Denise, Bobby, Christopher, Christine, Michelle, Rosey, Marisa, Zach, Mikey, Joey, Crystal, Stacie, Hailey, Andy, Savanah, Trinity, Edward, Axel and Garrett; 21 precious great great grandchildren in the DeNucci, Baron and O'Malley families; a godson, Ted Joya; and great niece and nephews, Fran (Joanne), Tony (Nora) and Theresa (John).Loretta was predeceased by her granddaughter, Jeannine DeNucci; her lifelong best friend, Flossie Schaffino; and godson, Sonny Alba.Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 9:00 until 10:45 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 10:45 am. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to be made in Loretta's name payable to the Phillies Charities, Inc., Phillies Community Outreach-Contributions, One Citizens Bank Way, Philadelphia, PA 19148.
