Born and raised in Crabtree, Pennsylvania, Louise later made her home in Northeast Philadelphia, Trevose, Levittown, and Newtown. From an early age, she demonstrated devotion to family that would remain a defining part of her life. After losing their mother while young, she cared for her younger brothers, Jimmy and Bobby, while working at Farber’s Market in Crabtree.
Louise was married to her beloved husband, Theodore Pishko, who passed away at the age of 72, just shy of their 50th wedding anniversary. Together, they raised three children.
A woman of deep and enduring faith, Louise attended church daily, served as a Eucharistic Minister in Trevose, and volunteered at St. Ambrose in Philadelphia. Her faith was reflected in the way she lived her life—with devotion, generosity, resilience, and care for others.
Louise enjoyed playing the piano, solving crossword puzzles, and treasured the companionship of her cats. Her cat Teddy held a particularly special place in her heart, having been named in honor of her late husband. Known for her generous spirit, Louise was a good friend to her neighbors and valued the relationships she formed throughout the communities she called home.
Louise is now reunited with her husband Ted Pishko; her father, George Long; her mother, Agnes Long (nee Robosky); and her brothers, James Long and Robert Long.
She is survived by her children: Mary Catherine Metzger, Timothy M. Pishko, and Andrea Ambs; and her granddaughters, Allyssa and Natasha.
