

It is with overwhelming sadness that the family of Margaret (Peg) Goodwin Briner (nee Higgins), 98, announce the passing of their beloved mother on Monday, June 28, 2021 with family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husbands Thomas (Hap) Goodwin and John Briner as well as her eldest son Thomas and her parents Frank and Sarah Higgins. She is survived by her six sons: Frank (Carole), Bob (Peg), Jim (Darlene), John (Terry), David (Maryann), and Ed (Jeannette) and four stepchildren: Mary Kay (Jim) Galloway, John (Karen) Briner, Francis Ann (Dave) Spencer and Amy (Jim) Harris. She is also survived by her only brother Frank (Helen) Higgins and many nieces and nephews. She was grandmother to 26 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Mom was born in Belfast, Ireland in 1923. She immigrated to America when she was a young child and was raised in Philadelphia but settled in Bucks County to raise her loving family. She loved to travel and play bingo but was happiest spending time with her family and talking about her “boys.” She will be sorely missed by her family and everyone who knew her.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA.
