

Margaret “Maggie” Simpson, age 69, of Levittown, passed away on June 3, 2026 at Jefferson Bucks Hospital. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness and unwavering dedication to those she loved will be remembered by all who knew her.
Born to Edward and Margaret Prem, Maggie graduated from Pennsbury High School in 1974. She spent much of her career as a cafeteria worker, where her strong work ethic and caring nature were evident in everything she did. Hard-working, compassionate, generous, and kind-hearted, Margaret approached life with a selfless spirit and a genuine concern for others.
Family was always at the center of Margaret's world. She treasured time spent camping with her loved ones during her younger years, enjoyed playing the slot machines, and especially loved gathering family and friends together for cookouts. Her happiest moments were those spent surrounded by the people she cared about most.
Margaret shared 51 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, John Simpson. Together they built a loving family and created countless cherished memories. Margaret's greatest legacy was the love and care she gave to her family. She worked tirelessly throughout her life and was especially devoted to caring for her special-needs daughter. Her strength, sacrifice, and unconditional love were gifts that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, John Simpson; her children, John Jr. (Jennifer) and Candice Simpson; her grandchildren, Emily and Carly; her siblings: Ed, Jimmy (Loretta), and Twig; many beloved nieces and nephews; and her cherished cat, Mia.
A viewing will be held at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056, on June 8, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Those who knew Margaret will always remember her warmth, generosity, and sense of humor. As she often said, “You’ll miss me when I’m gone.” While her family already feels that loss deeply, they find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and the love she shared throughout her life.
Margaret will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
