
Lois Veith Lois Veith, died on Tuesday, March 22, 2011at home. She was 84. Born in Shamokin, the daughter of the late Anna (Coyne) and Louis Witt, she moved to Levittown in 1958 and resided there until relocating to Newtown last year. While in Levittown, Mrs. Veith was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish where she was also a member of the choir. Mrs. Veith enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, embroidery, and was an avid reader. Her greatest enjoyment, however, was spending time with her family. Beloved wife of the late Frederick, mother of the late James and grandmother of the late Alex Hill and Leah Coleman, Mrs. Veith is survived by her loving children, Michael J. (Louise) of Lewes, DE, Margaret Allan (the late John) of Newtown, Frederick (Cheryl) of Newtown, Christopher (Frances) of Alexandria, VA, Barbara Hill (Michael) of Hatfield, and Judith Coleman (Joe) of Hulmeville; her eighteen grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason, Danielle, Frederick, Michael, Ariele, Rebeca, Peter, Jeremy, Emma, Ian, Avery, Rachael, Aiden, Anna, William, Matthew and Frances; her eight great grandchildren and her sister, Nan Haviland of Folcroft. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, 6 until 8 PM and Monday 8:30 until 9:30 AM at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pa 19056. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church. Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name may be sent to Pickering Manor, 226 N. Lincoln Ave, Newtown, PA 18940.
