She was a member of the Trenton City Planning Commission, League of Women Voters, and the Hiltonia Civic Association. She loved gardening, playing Scrabble, impromptu conversations with strangers, hosting New Year's and neighborhood block parties, animals of all kinds, and hunting for treasures and bargaining with vendors at the Golden Nugget Antique Flea Market in Lambertville.
Beloved wife of 57 years to William H. and loving mother of Carl W. (Ann) and Paul H. (Rhonda) Wegner.
She will also be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Carl Jr., Jessica, and Loretta; brothers, Hernan and Herminio Cortes, and sister, Sarah Cortes.
Services and interment will be held privately.
