Marianne C. Sheppard

Marianne C. Sheppard Marianne C. (Blair) Sheppard, beloved wife of Robert R. Sheppard for the past 58 years, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at her home in Levittown, PA surrounded by her loving family. She was 76. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Robert M. (Bobby) Sheppard in 2008. She was the daughter of the late John and Marianne Blair and sister of the late John E. Blair. In addition to her husband, Anne is survived by her two sons, David Sheppard of Levittown, PA and Brian Sheppard and his partner, Brian Ashmore of Brigantine, NJ; her granddaughter, Jade Sheppard of Carrboro, NC; and daughter-in-law, Wendy Sheppard of Newtown, PA. She was born and raised in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia and graduated from Hallahan Catholic Girls High School. She worked for many years at Jones Apparel Group in Bristol, PA. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling, spending time on the sands of Brigantine Beach, NJ, and wintering with Bob and their friends in South Beach, FL. In addition to her cats Theo and Vincent, she will be missed by a wide group of family and friends including her Alpha Gamma Sigma sisters, a sorority that they formed themselves and kept together for close to 60 years. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, from 2:00 until 5:00 pm and on Monday, from 9:00 until 10:00 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 am at Queen of the Universe Church, Levittown followed by the Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Women's Humane Society at 3839 Richlieu Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.
