

Marie C. Hood passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne at the age of 80.Born and raised in South Philadelphia, and formerly of Jacksonville, FL, Mrs. Hood has resided in Middletown Township for the past 40 years. She was a member of Queen of the Universe Parish.Music was her life. She spent her working career as a professional musician and played in bands with her late husband. An extremely talented pianist and vocalist, her forte being jazz and Latin music, Mrs. Hood traveled extensively performing. She was fortunate enough to have performed with Sammy Kay and Dick Van Dyke.Mrs. Hood is the beloved wife of the late Oliver Julian; mother of the late Christian; and stepmother of the late Benjamin Hood.She is survived by her devoted children, Gina M. Cavalier, Julian Hood Jr. (Phyllis), J.R. Hood (Linda) and Nancy Boczar (Bruce).Mrs. Hood will also be sadly missed by her 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Robert Costantini; sister, Dolores Bierman (late Alan); several nieces, nephews and extended family.Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, December 17, 2018, from 9:30 until 11:00 am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am.
