Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Marie later became an original resident of the Farmbrook section of Levittown where she lived for 69 years. She was a founding member of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish where she volunteered at the school, served as Eucharistic minister, and participated as an officer in the Sodality. Marie and her husband Ed were long-time volunteers at the church fair and were original members of The Parkway Players, a theater group at St. Michael's.
Marie was known for her strong faith in God, her remarkable memory, her sound advice, and the caring, unselfish way she took care of others. She was typically found wearing heels and a skirt, telling detailed stories, keeping up with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren near and far, and practicing dance steps - even at 104. She will be remembered most for the extraordinary way that she loved her family.
She lives on in her children - Mary Anne McCarthy (Michael), Tim, Denis (Christelle), and Connie O'Hara (Bob) - her 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and the many others she loved including Liz Peter and family, her nieces, nephews, and friends.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents Anne & Joseph DeLullo, her siblings Dorothy Donegan and Joe DeLullo, her daughter Noreen McDonald, and her loving husband of 52 years, Edward McDonald.
Family and friends are invited to call from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, PA and to join in her funeral Mass at 10:00 am. The Rite of Committal will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem.
