

Marilyn C. Sandy of Fairless Hills passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Chandler Hall. She was 91.Born in Toledo, Ohio and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Edward M., Sr. and Jeanne R. Jackson, both former Captains in the Salvation Army. Mrs. Sandy converted to the Catholic faith in 1946.Mrs. Sandy was the beloved wife of the late M. Robert Sandy for over 52 years. They relocated to Fairless Hills from Massachusetts and Connecticut in 1952 where they became active members of St. Frances Cabrini Church and Choir, and raised their family. Mrs. Sandy was employed as a bookkeeper for many years. She was an avid reader and card player and also loved music.Mrs. Sandy is survived by 5 children, Robert Sandy (Linda) and Marsha Cardinal (John) of Florida; Donna Lindsay (Roland) and John Sandy (Wendy) of Pennsylvania and James Sandy (Margaret) of New Jersey. She was a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Alice Crudo of Texas. She was preceded in death by one grandson.Marilyn's family would also like to extend their gratitude to Louise Rogers for the loving and devoted care she gave to their mother.Family and friends are invited to call from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 325 S. Oxford Valley Rd., Fairless Hills, PA 19030 where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Frances Cabrini Church at the address above or the Salvation Army, 215 Appletree Dr., Levittown, PA 19055.
