Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Burke has been a resident of Fairless Hills since 1972 and was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Parish. He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War.
Martin enjoyed camping, fishing and bird watching.
Beloved husband of Shirley R. (nee Lange) for 61 years, Mr. Burke was the loving father of Martin J. Burke III (Erin), Marianne Lamer (Glen), Thomas Burke (Vanya), Donna Kunkel (Scott) and David Burke (Dinia).
He was the brother of Joan Borie (Harry), Kathie Hartnett, Patricia Offner and late Gerald Burke and the brother-in-law of Eileen Burke.
He will also be missed by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call from 10 until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. The burial of his ashes will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem.
