Mary La Pierre

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mrs. La Pierre has been a resident of Levittown for the past 52 years.

Until retiring, she was employed with Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol as a Unit Secretary for 40 years.

Mrs. La Pierre was an animal lover, especially to all of her Chihuahuas. She was a strong, independent woman, and was looked up to for her wise advice. She was a great mother to more than just her own.

Mrs. La Pierre enjoyed doing word puzzles, crocheting and working on plastic canvas.

She is the beloved wife of the late Edward L. Sr. and loving mother of the late Matthew J. La Pierre.

Mrs. La Pierre is survived by her devoted children, Barbara-Anne, Edward L. Jr. (Jaime ) and Daniel M. (Teresa Petruzzelli) La Pierre.

She will also be sadly missed by her 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Daniel Esenwein; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, August 10, 2019, from 10:00 until 11:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 11:30 am. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
