Mary Lee Dolores Brant

Mary Lee was born in Malone, NY, to parents, Robert and Jean Jock (deceased). She graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in 1964. Mary Lee went on to establish a career in accounting, working for Wegmans for over 19 years.

Mary Lee was very creative and participated in several art mediums, including but not limited to; ceramics, painting, knitting, crochet, needlepoint, sewing, and more. Mary Lee loved to play cards and travel. She spent her retirement years as a very active member of her senior center, Middletown Senior Center. Mary Lee participated in many activities at the senior center, sometimes going daily. She eventually ran the senior center thrift store, which gave her purpose and joy.

Mary Lee was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and friend. She always had a smile on her face. Mary Lee made everyone feel like a friend. She was the most kind and caring person throughout her life, always putting others’ needs ahead of her own.

Mary Lee is now reunited with her husband Herbert “Vern” Brant, her parents, Robert and Jean Jock, and her oldest sister Linda Barnard (Jock).

Mary Lee is survived by her daughters, Michelle Elliott-Fusaro and Jennifer Elliott; her stepchildren, Warren Brant (AnnMarie) and Wendy McDermott (Jim); her grandchildren: Joshua Fusaro, Morgan Brant, Austin Brant, North McDermott (Drew), Cleo McDermott, Sasha Brant, and Daria Brant; her sister, Pamela Caldwell; and her nephew, Clayton Hoyt.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held for her friends at the Middletown Senior Center on Saturday, August 29, 2026. A later service will be held privately in New York for family.
