Mary Lou Leyland Mary Lou Leyland passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Saint Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, Born and raised in Philadelphia she has been a resident of Levittown since 1992. Mary Lou left all those she touched with strength and love that will help carry on her memory forever. She was known as "Mama Lou" to her friends and coworkers at Walmart, where she has been employed as a personnel manager since 1992. Mary Lou was a warm, wonderful, beautiful person, inside and out and had a heart of gold. Beloved wife of 31 years to Joseph L. "Larry", Mary was the loving mother of Richard, Melissa, (fiance, Mike Toscano), Alisha Anne Leyland and Lauren Gerth and her husband, Greg. She was the devoted grandmother of Jacob, Koryn and Kylee Leyland and Leyla and Delaney Sky Gerth. She will also be sadly missed by her siblings, Buck, Frank and Jeanette Straub and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary (Dunn) and Charles Straub and her sister, Peggy Anne Perry. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, from 1:00 until 3:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm. At Mary Lou's request, please wear bright colors to honor her bright and beautiful life.
