Meiling Chen Smith

Born in Guangzhou, China. Meiling was the eldest of 5 children born to Pan Qunying and Jialiang Chen.

Immigrating to the USA in May 2009, Meiling married the love of her life, Joseph Smith. It truly was a love story of people who found each other on opposite sides of the globe. And ‘After the Loving’ they were still in love with each other until Meiling left this earth.

After learning English as a second language, she graduated in 2013 from Bucks County Community College with an Associate of Arts degree. Guided by her strong family values, she was a master chef feeding her family healthy, nutritious food every day. Family members and her friends will miss her culinary delights that they enjoyed in Meiling’s Falls Township home.

Meiling enjoyed family travels. The highlight was flying into Copenhagen, Denmark in the summer of 2018, boarding the Princess Cruise Line ship and sailing around the Scandinavian and Baltic countries for 11 days.

Meiling is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Smith, her daughter, two sisters, and her two brothers. Her parents predeceased her in Guangzhou, China.

Her husband has always asked Meiling to love him with all of her heart, as he loved her with all of his. And with every beat of her heart, Meiling felt all of their shared love up to the final moments of her life.

It was a life well lived.
