The son of the late Eugene LaBorde and Helen Hires LaBorde, Michael grew up in Oakford, PA. After graduating from Neshaminy High School, he enlisted in the Army, where he proudly served until 1976. Michael was a Union Carpenter, a part of The Local 167 in Philadelphia for 30 years.
An avid fisherman and crabber, his nickname was "Crabby" to all who knew and loved him. Michael enjoyed spending time out on the bay in New Jersey and on the beaches in North Carolina. When not passing his time soaking up the sun, Michael could be found at home with his family, gardening, catching up on the latest episodes of Deadliest Catch, and panning for gold.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie Carr LaBorde; his son, Christopher LaBorde; and his daughters Danielle LaBorde and Stephanie LaBorde. He was a proud Papa to his two granddaughters, Haylie and Kaylie. Michael is also survived by his two brothers, Stephen LaBorde and Eugene LaBorde.
A memorial service for Michael will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056. The United States Army will render honors at 12:00 pm.
