Michael A. Pesce Jr.

Michael A. Pesce Jr. died on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at the age of 98.Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, Mr. Pesce was an original Levittown resident for 38 years prior to returning to NJ in 1993. He was a former member of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish.Until his retirement, Mr. Pesce was employed with Roller Bearing Co., Trenton, NJ for 42 years. Mr. Pesce was a proud US Army World War II veteran and a member of the Italian American Club of the Rossmoor Community.An avid golfer, he continued playing into his 90's, and enjoyed his weekly round of golf with his late brother-in-law, Charles.Mr. Pesce is the beloved husband of the late Marion V. (Denny); loving father of the late Richard P.; dear brother of the late Josephine, Lucy, Elvira, Vincent and Nicholas; and long time companion of the late Gloria Vianna.He is survived by his devoted daughters, Barbara A. DeGrasse (William J. Jr.) and Donna R. Gaines (Robert); grandchildren, Michelle Ranaudo (Peter), William J. DeGrasse III (Carly), Robert M. Gaines (Kathleen); and great grandchildren; Liam, Samantha and Finn Michael, all of whom he was very proud.Mr. Pesce is survived by his brothers, Daniel and Richard Pesce and sister, Patricia Ray (the late Charles). He will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews; and extended family.Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, December 29, 2018, from 10:00 until 11:00 am at Saint Andrew Church, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA, where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. The Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Pesce's name may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38175.
