Michael J. Sankovich

Michael J. Sankovich Michael J. Sankovich passed away suddenly on Monday, December 2, 2013. He was 59. Born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia, Mr. Sankovich has been a resident of Bensalem for the past 36 years. He was a 1971 graduate of Northeast High School and then went on to further his education at C.C.P. Mr. Sankovich was employed as a mechanic for 25 years with Operating Engineers Local 542 before his retirement 2 1/2 years ago. He was currently working for NWL Transformers, Inc. in Bordentown, NJ. He will be remembered as a hard worker and totally devoted to his family. Beloved husband of 36 years to Rita M. (Krok), Mr. Sankovich was the loving father of Michael J. and Jonathan M. of Bensalem. He will also be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Sankovich was predeceased by his parents, Mary (Frascatore) and Martin Sankovich and his brother, Martin. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, from 8:00 until 9:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am at Saint Ephrem Church, Bensalem, followed by the Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Easter Seals Southeastern Pennsylvania, 3975 Conshohocken Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19131.
