

Michael "Mickey" Taurino passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, February 19, 2018.Born and raised in the Frankford section of Philadelphia, and formerly of Mayfair, Mickey attended Frankford High School. He moved to Levittown 21 years ago.Until retiring in 2001, Mickey was a Bus Driver for Septa at the East Falls Depot for 30 years.From 1966 until 1971 he was the Owner/Operator of Mickey's Citgo in the Juniata section of Philadelphia.Mickey was a huge Philadelphia sports fan and also a huge fan of Elvis Presley.He proudly served in the US Army.Beloved husband of nearly 50 years to Janice (McGowan), Mickey is the loving father of Nicole Taurino-McClintock (the late T.J.), Toni Taurino and the late baby John Peter Taurino.He is the dear brother of Peter Taurino and Gloria Hess and the late Grace Suttcliffe.Mickey will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews and his pet dogs, Ginnie Mae and Daley.Family and friends are invited to call from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Thursday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA, where his funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m..
