Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Joseph M. and Margaret A. (Clarke) Welsh. He graduated from Bishop Egan in Fairless Hills, PA in 1963. He attended Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science in Philadelphia, PA. He started his professional career at Strick Trailer in Fairless Hills, PA. In 1978 he began his entrepreneurial career founding M.W. Trailer Repair first in Trenton, NJ, then moved to the present location in Bordentown, NJ.
He is survived by his former wife, Anita F. Welsh; sister, Maura S. Welsh; children, Michael S. (Theresa Brovak) and Christine M. Forester (Bruce); grandchildren, Michael R. Welsh, Brooke E. Forester and Chase M. Forester, numerous nieces and nephews and good friends.
He enjoyed boating, trips to the Pocono Mountains and being surrounded by friends and family. He will be remembered for his love of fine dining and a great bottle of wine. He was a devoted dog dad to many beloved pets, Ginger, Tangee, Max, Winston, and Buddy.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph M. and Margret A. Welsh and his brother, Edward C. Welsh of Cheyenne WY.
The memorial gathering will be held on September 25th at 5:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 6:00 pm at James J. Dougherty Funeral, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056.
