

Miguel Angel Velez, Jr. died on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Chandler hall. He was 54. Born in Lares, Puerto Rico, Mr. Velez has been a Levittown resident for the past 7 years and formerly resided in Bristol. He worked for Alterra Nursing Home in Richboro as a maintenance supervisor. Mr. Velez loved country western music, barbecues and old cars, especially Chevelle's. He will be remembered as a "Mr. Fix-it" who was a very handy and hard working man who was the life of the party and always made everyone around him laugh. Mr. Velez loved his family and would do anything for anybody. He will surely be missed by many friends and loved ones. Beloved husband of over 30 years to Evelyn (Cuevas), he was the loving father of Miguel Angel Velez III, Hector Luis Velez and Jimmylee Velez. He was the devoted grandfather of Ava, Adora, Bella and Lanie Rai; and the brother of Emilio, Candido, Santa, Nina and Laura. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aurora (Rosario) and Miguel A. Velez, Sr., and his siblings, Ida, Rosa and Antonio. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Bristol Cemetery.
