Mildred M. Edmondson

Mildred M. Edmondson of Levittown died on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at St. Mary Medical Center. She was 87. Born and raised in Passaic, NJ, Mildred was the daughter of the late Carmelo and Marieta (Pipra) Maita. Mrs. Edmondson was a resident of Lower Bucks County for over 50 years residing in Middletown Township for many years. She worked for the Department of Defense at McGuire Air Force Base for 32 years until retiring in in 1986. Mildred enjoyed making big Italian meals for her family and listening to the music of Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. She was a member of St. Andrew parish. Mrs. Edmondson was the beloved wife of the late James M. Edmondson. She was the loving mother of Carolyn J. Golding of Trenton, NJ, Diane E. Edmondson of Fairless Hills, Jamie A. Edmondson of Virginia Beach, VA, James M. Edmondson, Jr. of Bensalem, Joy L. Edmondson-Irons of Newtown and Thomas A. Edmondson of Levittown. She was the devoted grandmother of Robert A. Golding Jr., Gust Tatlas, Stacey Tatlas-Price and Elizabeth Irons and the great grandmother of George and Allan Tatlas, Austin and Gabriella Morris and Melody A. Golding. Preceded in death by her beloved sisters Kate, Ann, Isabelle and Nellie, she will be sadly missed by her sister Josephine Trapani of Mercerville, NJ and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. at St. Andrew Church, 81 Swamp Rd., Newtown where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Interment is private.
