She was born to the late Renee and Elsie (Perkins) Tremblay and was predeceased by her brother, William Tremblay.
A graduate of Cape Elizabeth High School in 1953, Nancy furthered her education at St. Joseph's College in Maine, receiving a Bachelor's degree in Latin and French. She chose a life of service to her family, embracing the vocation of a homemaker with steadfast devotion and unyielding love. Her kind, selfless spirit and her unwavering dedication to her family was evident in the love and care she provided.
She is remembered by her grateful children, MaryBeth and James Mahoney, MD, and daughter-in-law, Maria Mahoney, MD.; her cherished grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew and fiancé Megan Moore, who will continue to walk in the light of her example. She also leaves behind sister-in-law, Mary Mahoney, and niece, Jeannine Mahoney, who will miss her gentle guidance and quiet strength. For over 50 years, her roots ran deep on Hillside Road, where she was not just a neighbor, but a friend to all.
Nancy's Catholic faith was an integral part of her essence. As a long-time parishioner of Queen of the Universe Church in Levittown, PA, she lived a life of gratitude and respect for all of God's creation. Her post-church Sunday ritual of a Dunkin' Donut egg sandwich with coffee and a jelly donut was a testament to her appreciation of life's blessings, big and small.
Nancy's career as a homemaker was her ministry, through which she exemplified the virtues of patience, reliability, and intelligence. Her home was a sanctuary of peace and a testament to her life's work.
