Nancy Williams, a spirited and tenacious soul whose life journey of 91 years inspired many, passed away peacefully on November 1st, 2023. Born, Nancy Theresa Kustra, under the determined sign of Scorpio on Halloween, and the youngest of eleven children. Nancy's early years were a preview of a life that would be lived with remarkable resilience and a fierce independence.
A pioneering educator, Nancy believed in the transformative power of knowledge and dedicated her career to the cultivation of young minds and her community. Her tenacity in the classroom was matched by her devotion at home as a solo parent to three boys, whom she raised with a combination of love, discipline, and the occasional dose of her well-known candid advice.
Nancy's opinions were as strong as her will and she never shied away from expressing them, often providing a fresh perspective and challenging others to think beyond their limitations. Her adventurous spirit led her to travel, exploring her family’s origin and seeking connection, which further enriched her teaching and personal philosophy.
Her life was a testament to the belief that one person can indeed make a difference. Nancy's legacy is carried on by her three sons, David, Llew and Charles, and the countless lives she touched with her unwavering spirit and zest for life. She now takes her rest, leaving behind a trail of memories and a family lineage that extends the love and tenacity she embodied.
