Nina Ellen Bach (née Farber) passed away peacefully at home on August 1st at the age of 73. The daughter of the late Morris and Lillian Farber, she was born and raised in Philadelphia, where she attended Northeast High School, graduating a year early. In her younger years, she especially enjoyed spending summers in Atlantic City.
When her children were young, Nina held part-time positions at the RX Place and John Fitch Elementary School, where she also served as the vice president of the PTO. Later, she spent 15 years working at K-Mart Warehouse. Ever the present and devoted mother, she joined her two youngest children when they signed up for karate lessons, ultimately earning her black belt.
Nina was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Gary, and her children: Ross Aaron (Shannon) of Florida, Kacey Meyer (Dennis) of Rockledge, Wendy Bach of Levittown, Justin Bach (Jennifer) of Downingtown, and Samantha Burakiewicz (Mark) of Philadelphia. The loves of her life were her grandchildren: Ian, Dennis, Derek, Lillian, Theodore, Luke, Miles, Michael, and Isabella. She is also survived by her brothers, Stephen Farber (Julia) and Barry Farber (the late Judy).
Friends and family are invited to visit at Dougherty Funeral Home in Levittown on Thursday, August 7th, from 6 to 8 p.m.
