Pearl was born in Youngstown, Ohio, to the late Adrian and Amelia Cattoi. She graduated from Chaney High School in 1947. Shortly after graduation, Pearl moved to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, with her brother Ernest (Bucky), where they opened and operated a successful restaurant. After marrying her husband, John, the couple moved to Levittown in 1953. Pearl later established a career as a machine operator, working for General Motors for over 30 years.
She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, most notably hosting her beloved Christmas Eve celebration for 52 years, a tradition that brought family together year after year. She enjoyed dancing and playing bingo at the Middletown and Fairless Hills Senior Centers, where she formed many lasting friendships. She also loved taking bus trips with those friends and the Red Hat Society, creating fun memories along the way. A devoted fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, she rarely missed a game and cheered them on with enthusiasm. She never missed her weekly Friday hair appointments, always taking pride in looking her best.
Pearl was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John; her son, Robert (Kim); her granddaughter, Nadia; her parents, Adrian and Amelia; and her siblings, Adrian, Albert, Ronald, Bucky, Edna, Evelyn, and Raymond.
She is survived by her sons, John (Holly) and Tom (Carol Ann); her grandchildren, Michelle (Scott), Rhiannon, Shannon (Vince), Sherrie, Jaclyn, Ariel (Joey), and Robert; her sister, Daisy; as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great children, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by prayers and remembrances at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Rd, Levittown PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the Middletown and Fairless Hills senior centers.
