Raymond T. Gephart, Jr.

Raymond T. Gephart, Jr., 61, returned to his heavenly home on Sunday, June 11, 2017, after a valiant battle with illness. His devotion to his family, and firm faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ultimately gave him peace.Ray was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1955, to Raymond & Blanche Gephart. He graduated from Rider College with his degree in accounting in 1977, and served the community for much of his career as a self-employed accountant in Bucks County.Ray married his best friend and high school sweetheart, Dottie, in 1977. Together they raised their two children with faith, love and patience. A dedicated father, Ray attended numerous sporting events, band events and school functions in support of his children as they grew. He was later an adoring "Pop-Pop" to his six grandchildren. He also enjoyed golfing with friends.Ray was a faithful servant of God, mentoring community and church members, serving as a deacon at Bucks County Community Church, and sharing Jesus with others even in his later days with illness.Ray is survived by his wife Dorothy; his son Raymond Gephart III (wife Marie), and his daughter Julie Cruz (husband Daniel); his grandchildren Jacob, Haley, Angelene, Jonas and Anna Cruz and Madeleine Gephart; his mother Blanche Gephart and his cousin Joseph Suppers. He is preceded in death by his father Raymond T Gephart, Sr. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 6 pm at Bucks County Community Church, 1249 W Maple Avenue, Langhorne, PA 19047. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bucks County Community Church (Benevolent Fund) at the above address.
