

Reginald Van Dyke CookReginald Van Dyke Cook, 72 of Levittown, PA, died on October 19, 2018, at home with his family.Born in Dover, DE, on August 10, 1946, he was the son of the late Paul C. Cook and Mary E. Cook. Reg was raised in Dover, Delaware and graduated from Dover High School, Class of 1964. He graduated from Alderson Broaddus University in West Virginia with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He was a member of the Delphic Fraternity where he continued to participate in various events. Reg was the recipient of the Broaddus Hospital Co-op Education Award in 1968. Following graduation, he moved to Pennsylvania and settled in Levittown. He retired from JC Penney after 43 years of management service. He relocated to Kirby, West Virginia where he enjoyed its' majestic beauty and the friendship of neighbors. Their fellowship would include making apple butter, sauerkraut and other canned goods, which he looked forward to every year. Reg was an active member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellow Lodges #306 where he served as a Past Grand Master for the state of Pennsylvania. He also belonged to the Perseverance Encampment 135 of Philadelphia. Some of Reg's fondest memories and stories included his love for his brothers and the lodge.As a young man he enjoyed woodworking and sailing, as well as flying with his older brother Paul. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and was always supportive and proud of their accomplishments.Reg is survived by his daughter, Heather L. Cook; as well as Anthony Pigott and Richard Giannamore, who he loved like his sons. He is the devoted grandfather of Christian, Kadence, Harley and Barret. Reg is also survived by his twin sister, Paula M. Cook and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Paul C. Cooke, Jr. David Cook, Anna Hartnett and Fae Downes.Family and friends are invited to call from 2:00 until 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania will conduct an Odd Fellows service at 3:30 pm.
