

Reverend Roy P. Kramer Reverend Roy P. Kramer died surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 9, 2012 at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 77. Born in Philadelphia, he was raised in Alden, PA and was 1953 graduate of Lansdowne High School. Rev. Kramer was a graduate of Drexel University where he achieved a Bachelor of Science Degree. In 1977, prior to his ordination, he was appointed and ordained an Elder. He graduated from Drew University and Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity and was ordained on June 8, 1982. Reverend Kramer was a former pastor of the Frenchtown/Finesville, Califon and Flanders United Methodist Churches all in New Jersey. He was also a former pastor of Chapman Quarries and Bushkill United Methodist Churches in Chapman Quarries, PA. He was appointed pastor of the Langhorne United Methodist Church from 1992-1997 and then served as an associate pastor of Christ United Methodist Church in Fairless Hills. Reverend Kramer was later appointed to the Bethesda United Methodist Church in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia as a retired Elder. He proudly served his country with the US Army. Reverend Kramer was a member of both the Langhorne and Morrisville Rotary Clubs. He was an avid golfer and model train enthusiast. He grew up loving the New York Yankees and later came to enjoy the Philadelphia Phillies ball club as well. Reverend Kramer was the author of "A Journey With Jesus". He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Maitland (Purks) Kramer, his brothers, Walter and Paul F. Kramer, Jr. and his sister, Dorothy Strykowsky. Beloved husband of Phyllis A. (Cox), Reverend Kramer was the loving father of Kathleen L. Reed (Ken), Beverly S. Kramer Angilello, Roy "Buddy" P. Kramer, Jr.(Margaret), Tracy Kramer (Brian) and Jennifer Moller (Jorge). He was the proud grandfather of Bethany, Preston, Robby, Andy, Victoria, Alessandra, Isabel and Sofia and the brother of Suzy Campiglia and Debbi McCullough. He will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, from 9:00 until 11:00 am at the Langhorne United Methodist Church, 301 East Maple Avenue, Langhorne, where his Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Bethesda United Methodist Church, 2820 E. Venango Street, Philadelphia, PA 19134.
