Richard J. BowmanRichard J. "Dick" Bowman died at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 27, 2017. He was 77.Born in Queens, NY, and raised in Comack, Long Island, NY, Mr. Bowman had attended Hauppauge High School. He has been a Middletown Township resident since 1974. Mr. Bowman was the owner/CEO of Digital Care Systems in Bristol Township.An accomplished, intelligent, inventor, and creative man, Mr. Bowman also was responsible for several US patents and gave his all in everything he did and lived his life to the fullest.A very proud US Navy veteran, he was a member of American Legion Memorial Post #960. He enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Atlantic City. with his late wife, Britta, who was the light of his life, And now they are together again.Mr. Bowman is predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Britta (Lem) and his daughter, Lisa Bowman Barnett. .He is the loving father of Rich R. Bowman (Nancy), Karen Bowman Schiavo (Scott), Kristine Bowman and Linda Andress (Tom).Mr. Bowman is the devoted grandfather of Danielle, Becki, Krystal, Ashley, Aleen, Scott, Ryan, Nicole, Randi, Megan and Dustin and great grandfather of 16.He is the brother of Gayle Bowman Cava (Lenny) and the late Joan Bowman Choyce (Donald); and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at precisely 11:30 a.m. at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, Pa.
