Richard D. Vasvilla Richard D. Vasvilla died on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown. He was 61. Born in Catawissa, the son of the late Sara (Wojtkielewicz) and Albert Vasvilla, he was a lifelong Bucks County resident. Mr. Vasvilla was a train operator for nearly 30 years for SEPTA on the Trenton line. He enjoyed spending his leisure time golfing, playing the slot machines at the casinos and taking care of his vegetable garden. Beloved husband of 42 years to Lois A. (Stelmack), Mr. Vasvilla was the loving father of Jason F. (Lisa) of Levittown and Richard C. of Morrisville and the very devoted grandfather of Jayson, Branden and Delaney. He was the brother of Albert, Ronald, John, Joan Vasilla, Theresa Hofman and Eleanor Fox. He will also be sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and coworkers at SEPTA. Family and frends are invited to call on Tuesday, from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm. Interment will be held privately.
