Born in Warren, Ohio, Bob was a longtime resident of Fairless Hills. He graduated from Neshaminy High School in 1958.
Bob was the popular owner of Bob Alvino's Restaurants' (3 different locations) in Levittown and Langhorne, PA for 35 years. Then, he became a real estate agent for the last 20 years- most recently with Heritage Homes Realty.
Bob was a huge Philadelphia sports fan. He was also a great piano player, and could have had a career in music. He was involved with many community service organizations, where he raised money for various charities. But, he became a fierce advocate for Autism- with his grandson, Matthew, as his motivation.
Bob was known for his outgoing and friendly personality and his amazing sense of humor that filled our lives with endless laughter. He was a very caring and compassionate person who always went out of his way to help people. His eternal optimism and love for his family kept him going through several serious health issues, beginning in 1976. These were unknown to most people.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Nicola and Angelina (Minard) Alvino; his brother, Nicholas Alvino; and his son-in-law, William Morris.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, JoAnn (Clark); his children, Robert Alvino, Jr. (Anne) and Lynne (Alvino) Morris; his grandchildren, Laura (Jacob), Darren, Andrew, Matthew, Christopher, and Mary Kate; his siblings, Anthony Alvino (Arlene), Camelia Vargo (Robert), Constance Ellis (Richard); his sister-in-law, Darlene Alvino; 14 nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
