

Robert H. Burnett Robert H. Burnett died suddenly at his home in Levittown on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. He was 74. Born in Morristown, NJ, son of the late Eleanor (VanArsdale) and Harold Burnett, and formerly of Union Beach, NJ, he has been a resident of Bucks County for 8 years. He was a graduate of Morristown High School and earned his carpenter's certification from the Pinellas Vocational Technical Institute. Mr. Burnett was the former owner/operator of Orr's Corner, A 2nd Hand Shoppe in Union Beach, NJ. He was employed as a commerical plumber for most of his working career, however he also was a skilled art framer, farmer, and maintance man. Mr. Burnett was a very proud Army veteran having served from 1961 until 1967. He earned many awards while serving in the service including sharp shooter. He was a Military Police Officer and was a former bodyguard for JFK. He was a great story teller and an avid NASCAR and Phillies fan, however, his greatest love and enjoyment came from the times shared with his family and grandchildren. Mr. Burnett was a member of the Levittown Library and was a well read history expert. Beloved husband of 32 years to Carole A. "Penny" (Orr), Mr. Burnett was the loving father of Tammy Carrington, Heather Mills (Frank), Rebecca Hagerty (Daniel) and Bonnie Burnett. He was the devoted grandfather of Jonathan, Jacob, Nicholas and Link; and brother of Carol Hecht (Robert) and James Burnett (Judy). He will also be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday from 1:00 until 2:30 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 pm. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Burnett's name may be made to the Levittown Library, 7311 New Falls Road, Levittown, PA 19055.
