Robert E. CahillRobert E. Cahill passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Langhorne Gardens at the age of 81.He has been a Levittown resident for over 50 years.Until his retirement, Mr. Cahill worked as a Carpenter with Local #1462 for nearly 30 years. After retirement, he drove a school bus for the Council Rock School District for over 20 years.He was a proud member of Bristol Lodge #25 F & AM, Pennsylvania Blue Lodge as well as the Scottish Rite Freemasonry where he earned the Meritorious Service Award.Mr. Cahill was an animal lover. He passionately raised and bred Mallard Ducks in his backyard "Duck Palace" for many years.Robert was always known for his high values and standards. He was dedicated to and active with Boy Scouts of America, Bucks County Council, Troops #114 and #121. As an adult, he earned the rank of Vigil Honor and Woodbadge. His proudest accomplishment was helping 5 Scouts achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, 3 of which were his sons. Beloved husband of 38 years to Ann L. (Rieck), Mr. Cahill is the loving father of Robert E. Cahill Jr. (Vicki), Ronald D. Cahill, and Eric B. Haralson (Julia).He is the devoted grandfather of Kate Elizabeth and Ryan Robert Cahill of Illinois, Bradley P., Brielle T. and Olivia G. Haralson of Bordentown, NJ.Mr. Cahill will also be sadly missed by his sister-in-law, Jean Cahill and numerous nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy (Roberts) and John Cahill, and his brother, Charles "Bud" Cahill.Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, from 9:30 until 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will be held privately.
