Robert E. Devine

Robert Edward Devine Sr., of Levittown died on Monday, January 17, 2011 at his home. He was 80. Mr. Devine was born in Philadelphia, and attended Frankford High School. He has been a resident of Levittown for the past 54 years. Early in his career, Mr. Devine worked as an office assistant for Mutual of Omaha which is where he met his wife, Patricia. In the early 1950's, he went to work as a truck driver for Mack Transportation and later for Signal Delivery. Mr. Devine was an active member of the Teamsters Local #107 where he served as a past Union Steward. Robert was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Mr. Devine will be lovingly remembered as a great husband and father who always did his best to care for and provide for his family, and he did it very well. Robert was the beloved husband of Patricia Anne (Kelly) Devine for 60 years. He was the loving father of James and his wife Nancy Devine of Levittown, Robert Devine Jr. of Levittown, Daniel and his wife Audrey Devine of Quakertown, Patricia Anne and her husband Rick Wickham of Bristol and Jerry and his wife Mary Devine of Delaware. He was the brother of Joseph and his wife Mary Devine of Southampton. He was the devoted grandfather of Bobby, Mary Anne, James, Megan, Ryan, Jennifer, Shannon, Rick, Caitlin and Mackenzie and the great grandfather of 4. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday evening from 7 to 9 PM at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc, 2200 Trenton Rd, Levittown and his Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 5201 Bristol-Emilie Rd., Levittown. Rite of Committal will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. There will be no calling hours on Saturday.
