Robert M. Evans

Robert M. Evans died on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at his home. He was 61. Born in Philadelphia, Pa, the son of the late Pearl G. (Lawton) and George P. Evans, he was the resident of Newtown, Pa for many years. Bob was a 1970 graduate of Bishop Egan High School and was the produce manager at McCaffrey's Supermarket in Yardley for 27 years. He was an avid golfer and devoted fan of the Philadelphia Flyers. Beloved husband of 26 years to Carol (Capelli), Bob was the loving father of Nicole Evans Harris (Michael), Erin, Kelsey, and Kylea Evans and the devoted grandfather of Sophia Grace and Tighe James Harris. He was the brother of Douglas (Lynn), Kenneth (Kathy), and Dennis (Kim). Bob was also the brother-in-law of Rita Evans, Christine Stewart (William), Paul Capelli (Patricia) and uncle to numerous loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother George Evans, in-laws, Robert and Norma Capelli and a sister-in-law JoAnne Capelli. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
