

Robert “Bob” Michael Gable passed on July 2, 2026, at the age of 78, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Born on March 17, 1948, Bob was a lifelong resident of Fairless Hills, and remained a cherished presence to all who knew and loved him.
Bob graduated from Father Judge in 1966. A gifted athlete, he played All Catholic Baseball and was drafted by the Washington Senators as a pitcher.
Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1970. He later built a long and steady career with the I.R.S., retiring after 36 years of dedicated service.
Throughout his life, Bob found joy in the simple and lasting pleasures that brought people together. He always enjoyed golfing, participated in two senior bowling leagues, and loved traveling to the Bahamas. He also played in three softball leagues for over 50 years—an enduring testament to his commitment, camaraderie, and love of the game.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Rita Gable, and his brother, Edward Gable.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Donna; his siblings and their spouses, William and Lisa Gable, Nancy and Rich Gruver, and Dianna and John Silks; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dona and Tina Cameron; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Gail and Dan Smith, Wendy and Louis Cameron, Brenda and Mike Masulis, Beth and Mike Vittore, and Amy and Anthony Cameron; several nieces and nephews; and his cat, Buddy.
Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056.
Burial of ashes will follow on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Avenue, Newtown, PA, 18940.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bob's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, Warrior Foundation Freedom Station 1223 ½ 28th St., Suite A San Diego, CA 92102.
