

Robert Alfred Krayer Robert Alfred Krayer, of Levittown, died peacefully at home on Sunday, January 13, 2013. He was 86. Born in Scranton PA, Mr. Krayer was a longtime resident of Levittown. He was a USCG Veteran of World War II and a lifetime member of American Legion Post 148. A former camper and director at Camp Spruks in Poyntelle PA, he was a charter member and current Vice President of the Lower Bucks Region Antique Automobile Club of America. A 1951 graduate of Penn State University and a member of Delta Chi Fraternity, he went on to receive his Masters Degree in Education from Trenton State College. He then spent the next 38 years as an Industrial Arts teacher, mostly in the Neshaminy School District. He was a lifetime member of the PSEA/NEA. Robert proudly built his own home in the Poconos without the use of power tools. Mr. Krayer was the devoted husband of 58 years to Elsa (Steinle) and the beloved father of Emily Hee (Jerome), Robin Potter (John), Kimberly Tither (Michael) and Robert W. Krayer (Caroline). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren: Jaclyn, John, Joseph, Christopher and Kyle. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His funeral service will be held on Friday, 9:00 a.m. at the Eddington Presbyterian Church, 3650 Bristol Pike, Bensalem followed by Interment at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
