Born on February 20, 1966, in Trenton, New Jersey, Robert spent most of his life in Levittown, Pennsylvania, where he graduated from Pennsbury High School. More recently, he made his home in Shamokin, Pennsylvania.
Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy during Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He was a devoted Philadelphia sports fan and enjoyed NASCAR racing. He had a great sense of humor and loved making people laugh, often bringing a smile to those around him. He was well known for his impressions, with his Archie Bunker impression being one of his most memorable and sure to get a laugh.
Family meant so much to Robert. He had a big heart and genuinely cared about the people in his life. He was the kind of person who wanted to make sure those he loved were okay and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He also had a great love for animals, especially his sister Tara’s dog, Frodo, whom he absolutely adored.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, William J. Lynn Jr.; his mother, Elizabeth D. Duffy; and his brother, James R. Lynn.
He is survived by his sisters, Kerry A. McCormick (James) and Tara J. Walsh (Kevin); his nephews, Matthew McCormick, Cody Wilkins (Jennifer), and Kyle McCormick; and his nieces, Alissa Beattie (Rob) and Kaelyn Walsh.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 10:00 am until 12 noon, followed by a funeral service, at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA. Burial with full military honors will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
Robert will be remembered most for his kind heart, his sense of humor, and the happiness he brought to the people around him. His laughter and the love he had for his family will be deeply missed, but the memories he leaves behind will always be cherished.
